TFMoran’s Nick Golon participates in Business NH Magazine Roundtable

Senior Project Manager Nick Golon, PE participated in Business NH Magazine’s roundtable discussion “Construction in the Age of COVID”, published in October 2020. Business NH gathered construction industry leaders for a virtual discussion of the challenges and opportunities their industry has experienced throughout the pandemic.

Topics covered include new and current opportunities, future uncertainty, supply chain issues, workforce challenges, company culture, regulatory climate, and what the future looks like for the construction industry. Addressing company culture and the toll the pandemic has taken on employees and their families, Nick says that “You’ve got to show empathy and find a solution that works for the company and for your people”. Additionally, he tells Business NH that “We had to re-evaluate and figure out how to keep our people busy. We’ve been very blessed that we have been able to do so.”

The article also featured one of TFMoran’s civil engineering and landscape architecture projects nearing completion, The Chandler Apartments, located at Goffe Mill Plaza on South River Road in Bedford.

Congrats to NeighborWorks® Southern New Hampshire for a successful Manchester West Side RENEW project!

As a proud supporter, TFMoran’s Dylan Cruess, COO was invited by Executive Director Robert Tourigny of NeighborWorks® Southern New Hampshire to the unveiling of their completed West Side RENEW project at 459 Granite Street in Manchester. Typically, a ribbon-cutting ceremony would have marked the completion of this special project, but due to the current pandemic situation, instead of a group gathering, the property was shown social-distanced to the fundraisers who helped make this redeveloped housing project possible. Last fall TFMoran donated $5,000 in support of this important housing initiative to redevelop and preserve properties on Manchester’s West Side. The building was previously an uninhabitable and was purchased at a tax auction from the City of Manchester in 2018. Through a variety of funding sources and with the help of the business community, 459 Granite Street, with its cheery yellow doors, is now home to four working families. The one and two-bedroom affordable-apartment rentals include heat and hot water for between $1,000 and $1,050 per month.

Congratulations to NeighborWorks® Southern New Hampshire for receiving the “2020 Housing for Everyone” award by the TD Charitable Foundation in support of the West Side RENEW initiative!

TFMoran sponsors The Jenny Fund’s 2nd Annual Golf Tournament

On August 21, 2020 TFMoran sponsored The Jenny Fund’s 2nd Annual Golf Tournament at Passaconaway Country Club in Litchfield, NH. $45,000 was raised for cancer research from this year’s most successful event, yet. The tournament helps support the Translational Brain Tumor Immunology Laboratory at Mass General Hospital (MSG) whose research has advanced treatment for patients with cancerous brain tumors. Last year, The Jenny Fund events raised $70,000 for MGH cancer research, double that of what they raised in 2018!

The Jenny Fund was created in memory of Jennifer Gureckis, a 28-year-old New Hampshire resident who lost her years long battle with recurring brain cancer in 2017. After her diagnosis, she completed her Bachelor’s in Biology at Saint Anselm College, and went on to work towards her RN- all while seeking out clinical trials for her treatment in the hopes that she could help contribute towards finding a cure.
