Market and Main: A Mixed-use Center

TFMoran provided civil/site and traffic engineering, permitting, land surveying, parking garage structural and landscape architectural services for commercial developer Encore Enterprises of Dallas, Texas. The 350,000sf space upscale mixed-use center will be named “Market and Main”, for the new Main Street off of South River Road (US Route 3) that will lead into the upscale development and intersect with a new Market Street. Interestingly, the Town of Bedford does not presently have a Main Street, like most towns.

Market and Main is designed to be a walkable, pedestrian-friendly place with a village green and pocket parks throughout. Plans include a 600-seat deluxe cinema, an office building,
a hotel, a variety of vibrant restaurants and retail shops, and two parking garages. The development will have high visibility from the interconnecting highways with easy access for visitors. Located next to the new Goffe Mill Plaza, which is anchored by a Whole Foods Market, the developers envision a lively new destination, bringing together a combination of fresh new brands and local favorites. The project architect is Prellwitz Chilinski Associates of Cambridge, MA. The demolition of the Macy’s store was completed in the spring of 2016, site construction began March 2017, and the groundbreaking is expected spring of 2018.
