Construction is on-going for the new Mercantile Bar and Grill Restaurant in Worcester, MA, with an anticipated opening in the beginning of 2022. The two-level restaurant will have seating for 500 and feature a large outdoor roof top deck bar. The restaurant is being renovated from one of the few remaining structures of the original Worcester Center Galleria mall and is now part of the City Square redevelopment in downtown Worcester.
TFMoran is providing structural engineering services for Broadway Hospitality Group of Boston, MA who is developing the property and will own and operate the restaurant. Renovations included floor capacity upgrades, support for new mechanical units, new facades with large openings, upgrades and modifications for the new roof deck and new stairs and elevators. Architectural design is being provided by Emporium Design of New York City.
