Thanks to NH Bureau of EMS, Bill Wood for the AED demonstration

TFMoran recently installed an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)* in our Bedford office. The AED life-saving medical device was purchased through the State of New Hampshire’s “AED Direct Purchase Opportunity”. On May 14th Bill Wood, Preparedness Coordinator for the NH Bureau of Emergency Medical Services, demonstrated to the staff how the device works, explained what to expect and answer any questions. Thank you Bill for taking the time to give us such a thorough explanation and demonstration!

Any New Hampshire business, organization or individual can purchase an AED through this state program. For more detailed information, click on this pdf link State of NH AED Information

* According to the American Heart Association , “An automated external defibrillator (AED) is a lightweight, portable device that delivers an electric shock through the chest to the heart. The shock can potentially stop an irregular heart beat (arrhythmia) and allow a normal rhythm to resume following sudden cardiac arrest (SCA). SCA occurs when the heart malfunctions and stops beating unexpectedly. If not treated within minutes, it quickly leads to death.”
