2017 Business Excellence Winner:
Dylan Cruess of TFMoran
Dylan Cruess, chief operating officer of TFMoran in Bedford, is the 2017 Business Excellence winner in the real estate and construction category for a small organization
Nominated by: Kimberley Griswold of Brainium

Dylan may have learned the ropes from his engineer father, but it is he and the new leadership team at TFMoran that have steered the company through a period of unprecedented growth. Since ownership of the company was transferred in 2013 to four senior employees, including Dylan, TFMoran has more than doubled its annual revenue, with continued double-digit growth. Because of Dylan’s background and upbringing, he grasps engineering, project management and surveying more than a typical operations person would. And that has enabled him to continue the original vision of TFMoran while strategically growing the company to new levels.

Having grown up among the TFMoran team, Dylan is well aware that it is the teamwork of the employees that is essential to the company’s success. That’s why Dylan has worked with the leadership team to increase the company match for employees’ 401K plans. And TFMoran’s positive culture is evidenced by its low turnover rate. Employees enjoy working at TFMoran because they are appreciated and encouraged to continue their education to become the best they can be. And the family-friendly atmosphere of the company allows not only for the flexibility to work from home when necessary but also the encouragement to give back to the community, as Dylan does.

Dylan’s leadership, work ethic, passion for community involvement and vision for TFMoran are why he is being honored with this award.

East vs West – TFM partners with CHaD for Annual NH High School All-Star Football Game

TFMoran welcomed the opportunity to partner with CHaD, Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock in New Hampshire. The Children’s Hospital hosts an annual football game between East New Hampshire and West New Hampshire that raises money for medical research. This year the game will be held on Friday, June 30th at Saint Anselm College at 7 pm. CHaD has 15 locations throughout New England including Manchester, Bedford, and Nashua.  They are the only comprehensive full-service children’s hospital in Northern New England. CHaD fills a necessary need by performing many important medical tasks such as, caring for premature babies, responding to traumatic injuries, supporting children and teens in managing complex chronic disease or helping families cope with the challenges of childhood illness. There is also an annual CHaD All-Star Golf Tournament on June 13 held at the Stonebridge Country Club in Goffstown, NH. A portion of the money raised from both events will go to Kristen’s Gift Endowment fund for children fighting cancer at CHaD. TFMoran was only one of many companies who donated to this very important cause.  CHaD cares for all current and future patients regardless of their ability to pay. Their mission is to treat and get kids back to their healthy selves as quick as they can!

Best of Luck to both teams!

4 TFM Engineers Adopt-A-Block InTown Manchester

On the afternoon of Friday, June 2nd, TFMoran employees once again joined other local volunteers for InTown Manchester’s annual Adopt-A-Block. The event is a neighborhood clean-up usually held near Earth Day, but due to the persistent springtime rain, Adopt-A-Block was rescheduled to June. This year Jeremy Belanger, Maureen Kelly, Matthew Mullen, and Robert Vida picked up trash, raked, and mulched near the Mill Girl statue on Commercial Street. With several other groups assigned to the large swath of green space, there was just enough work to go around. InTown Manchester hosted a reception at local restaurant, 900 Degrees Neapolitan Pizzeria, to celebrate another successful year of helping to keep Manchester “clean and green.”
