TFMoran Judges ASCE Regional Steel Bridge Competition

Hosted by UMass Lowell the New England Region Steel Bridge Competition, sponsored by the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) took place over the weekend of April 25th and 26th.  Top honors went to MIT, with UCONN and WPI also qualifiying for the National Competition.   TFMoran Senior Project Manager, Nick Golon, PE, completed his eighth year judging the competition.  Congratulations to all the teams that participated!

Senator Scott Brown Visits TFMoran’s Office

As part of TFMoran’s ongoing effort to be involved with our community, we hosted a visit from former Senator Scott Brown at TFM’s office in Bedford, NH.  Senator Brown spoke and answered audience questions for over forty-five minutes, including giving everyone an opportunity to voice what issues were most important to them.  Senator Brown is a former Senator from Massachusetts and is now running for the United States Senate in New Hampshire against Jeanne Shaheen.

TFMoran is the only engineering firm at local Manchester Career Fair

On Saturday, April 5th, TFMoran, Inc. (TFM) was the only engineering firm to participate in the Construction Career Fair organized by Manchester based HR Firm, Cultural Chemistry, LLC.  The venue provided a great opportunity for TFM to meet with potential job seekers and provide information to local contractors about TFM’s extensive experience in residential survey and structural engineering.  TFM looks forward to participating in the Fair next year!

TFMoran Employees Judge High School Science & Engineering Expo

TFM employees Nick Golon, Tucker McCarthy, and Dylan Cruess participated as judges in the 2014 NH Science and Engineering Expo!  The Expo featured science, math, and engineering projects created by high school students from around the State.  Check out the tv coverage of the expo here!

TFMoran Selected 2014 Best Engineering Firm in New Hampshire

TFMoran, Inc. has been selected as a winner in New Hampshire Business Review’s 2014 BOB Awards, which honor the best of business in New Hampshire in over 90 categories. TFMoran was honored in a statewide readers’ survey in the Engineering Firm category.

“We are especially proud to receive this award two years in a row,” says Robert Duval, president of TFMoran. “I credit our dedicated staff of civil, structural, and traffic engineers, land surveyors and landscape architects for the excellent service they give to our community every day,” Duval continued. TFMoran was established in 1968 and is involved in major engineering projects throughout New Hampshire and the northeast.

TFMoran and the other winners will be honored on Thursday, March 6, at the Grappone Conference Center in Concord. “With 3,900 ballots cast for the 2014 Awards, the BOBs continue to be considered a standard of excellence in New Hampshire,” said Jeff Feingold, editor of NHBR. “This year, we’re celebrating with a luau – the perfect cure for cabin fever.” A portion of the proceeds will benefit New Horizons for NH.

TFMoran Announces Ownership Transition

January 1, 2013 – TFMoran Inc. has announced the transfer of ownership to a team of four senior employees. According to former owners Robert and Anne Cruess, who have been in charge of the firm since 1987 and owners since 1991, “This is TFM’s 45th year in continuous operation”, says Mr. Cruess, “and after 26 years in charge, I am pleased that this group of long-term, dedicated employees is taking over ownership of the Company that has been an important part of our lives.”

“Robert and Anne Cruess have made a tremendous impact on our business and our profession,” says new president Robert Duval. “Under their guidance, TFMoran has always been on the cutting edge of innovation. Robert and Anne pioneered sustainable design in our region with the creation of the Eco-Industrial Park in Londonderry. Their many creative, award-winning projects have included parks, retail and mixed use. Their vision and hard work have made TFM a recognized leader in our industry and positioned the firm to meet the challenges of the years ahead.”

The new ownership team includes Robert Duval as President, Dylan Cruess as Chief Operating Officer, and Senior Vice-Presidents Jeff Kevan and Paul Sbacchi. Robert Cruess remains involved as Chairman of the Board of Directors and to assist in marketing and outreach for the firm. Anne Cruess will remain as Chief Landscape Architect.

TFMoran specializes in civil, structural, and traffic engineering; survey, landscape architecture, and environmental permitting for private and public projects throughout New England.

Donation to Provide Typhoon Relief in Philippines

CONCORD, NH, Tuesday, December 3rd, 2013 — Red Cross New Hampshire would like to thank TFMoran, a land planning firm which specializes in civil, structural and traffic engineering, for their financial contribution to American Red Cross’ Typhoon Haiyan Relief Fund. With TFMoran’s donation of over $2,000, the American Red Cross can continue to provide immediate financial assistance to the Philippine Red Cross, which is overseeing relief efforts.
