TFMoran Featured in Associated General Contractors of NH’s Construction Connections Member News

The January 25, 2021 issue of The Associate General Contractors of NH (AGCNH) Member Newsletter features a story on TFMoran’s most recent contribution to the Children’s Scholarship Fund of NH. TFMoran’s COO Dylan Cruess presented a $5,000 check to Kate Baker, Executive Director of the CSF-NH on January 11th. This contribution helps to make education financially available to low and moderate income families, especially helping during the pandemic when CSF families are facing a new economic situation.

TFMoran promotes engineers Christopher Rice, Thomas Lamb and Kyle Roy to Principals

TFMoran is proud to announce the promotion of several senior-level employees, Christopher Rice, Thomas Lamb, and Kyle Roy, to Principals of the firm. Mr. Rice is in the civil engineering group; Mr. Lamb and Mr. Roy are in the structural group.

“We are pleased to welcome these exceptional individuals who embody the core values of TFMoran: engineering excellence and superior client service, into our ownership team,” said Robert Duval, president of TFMoran. “Effective engineering companies require leaders who are innovators and problem-solvers. These new Principals have all taken on leadership roles within the construction industry, and within community service organizations as well.”

Christopher Rice

 

Christopher Rice joined TFMoran’s Civil Engineering Department in 1999 and currently manages the Civil Division in TFM’s Portsmouth office.  He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering Technology from UNH. His experience includes civil/site design and permitting of land development projects ranging from small subdivisions to some of the largest mixed-use developments in the state.  Mr. Rice lives in Hooksett with his wife and two sons.

Thomas Lamb, PE

 

Thomas Lamb, PE joined the company’s Structural Engineering Department in 2007.  He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from UNH. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in multiple states including New Hampshire, and Massachusetts. As a Senior Structural Engineer in the Bedford office, Mr. Lamb is responsible for design and analysis of a wide variety of residential, commercial, industrial, and municipal buildings throughout the Northeast. His experience includes new construction as well as preservation of historic masonry, steel, and timber structures. Mr. Lamb is the current president of Structural Engineers of New Hampshire. He lives in Bedford with his wife and two children.

Kyle Roy, PE

 

Kyle Roy, PE is a Senior Structural Engineer in TFMoran’s Bedford office. He joined the company in 2006.  He holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology, and is a licensed Professional Engineer in New Hampshire, Maine, and Massachusetts. Mr. Roy has over 25 years of experience in structural design and analysis of commercial, industrial, institutional, municipal, and residential buildings for public and private clients, including adaptive re-use of historic structures.  His experience includes extensive healthcare engineering, supporting, and improving patient care. He is a member of Structural Engineers of New Hampshire, American Institute of Steel Construction, New England Society of Healthcare Engineers, and the New Hampshire Society of Healthcare Facility Managers. Mr. Roy lives in Londonderry, with his wife and two children.

“These new Principals represent our commitment to the future,” says Duval. “TFMoran is now in its 53rd year of operations, and we know the importance of training the next generation of leadership today.  Along with Nick Golon, who became a Principal in 2020, this strong young leadership team will help us grow and prosper for decades to come.”

TFMoran Kicks Off United Way Employee Fundraising Campaign

TFMoran has partnered with the New Hampshire Chapter of United Way in kicking off its first Employee Fundraising Campaign. This campaign makes it easy to give though Granite United Way’s website by making a payroll pledge. Employees are able to have their preferred amount automatically deducted from their pay to contribute to the non-profit cause of their choice.

The United Way has made a difference, especially this year for those who have been hit hard by the pandemic. The Granite United Way has provided relief to more than 80,000 individuals by connecting them to medical assistance, unemployment benefits, housing, food and critical basic needs.

The campaign kicked off on January 20th.

ASCE-NH Board Member of the Month: Nick Golon!

TFMoran’s own Nick Golon is featured as the American Society of Civil Engineers NH Chapter’s Board Member of the Month for January 2021. Nick serves as the Treasurer of ASCE-NH. Check out the full article here. Nick introduced himself to readers and reflects on the successes and difficulties this past year has brought. He also writes of personal accomplishments such as his engagement to his girlfriend Lee. Nick is grateful for the recognition after being named Principal and Shareholder of TFMoran.

Readers cast their votes online for the best providers of services and goods in the banking and real estate industries. This poll was put together to measure the loyalty and satisfaction of readers, providing them with an opportunity to speak up for those they believe are the best! Readers voted TFMoran the Gold Winner for Best Engineering Firm and the Gold Winner for Best Landscape Architect in the Commercial Real Estate category! Some familiar names also appeared on the list.

TFMoran is very proud to announce the promotion of several key employees to Principals of the firm – Nick Golon and Chris Rice in our civil engineering group, and Tom Lamb and Kyle Roy in our structural group. These individuals represent our commitment to the future. TFMoran is now in its 53rd year of operations. Although in itself a remarkable achievement, we know that our future success depends on identifying and training new generations of leadership today.

Business experts agree that succession planning is one of the hallmarks of a sound business strategy. We agree, and we believe that good succession planning means bringing new leaders into the leadership team early, to ensure a seamless transition as TFMoran continues to grow and prosper in the decades to come.

TFMoran Featured in High Profile Monthly for Donation to NH Food Banks

TFMoran has been featured in the January 2021 issue of High Profile for our contribution to two local food banks during the holidays. TFMoran donated $3,000 in total to local New Hampshire food pantries. Due to the pandemic, the annual company holiday lunch was not held this year. Instead, the estimated cost of both lunches was donated, providing an estimated 6,000 meals to New Hampshire’s people in need. In early December, a $2,000 check was presented to Abby Sprackland, on behalf of NH Food Bank at the TFM office in Bedford. Later that same week, a $1,000 check was presented to Arthur Cousins on behalf of Gather, the seacoast area food pantry at the TFM Portsmouth Division office. Check out the article here.

TFMoran’s Sig Sauer Experience Center project featured on Portsmouth Herald front page

On January 5, 2021 the feature story on the front page of the Portsmouth Herald was the conditional approval of a $13.5M new Experience Center for Sig Sauer Academy at their Epping, NH facility off Route 27. TFMoran’s senior project manager has been working with the project team: North Branch Construction and Cowan | Goudreau Architects, both of Concord, NH. TFMoran is providing civil engineering services for the facility which will include retail and office space, training rooms, firing ranges and a museum.

Anne Cruess Featured in December 2020 Landscape Architect Magazine

Anne Cruess PLA, former Chief Landscape Architect and principal of TFMoran was recently featured in the December 2020 issue of Landscape Architect Magazine. Anne was honored at the Granite State Landscape Architects (GSLA) Annual Dinner in November 2019 with an award for her contribution to the profession of Landscape Architecture in the State of New Hampshire. Anne was also recognized for her dedicated service to the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) and her instrumental role in GSLA, particularly in convincing the House and Senate to pass a licensure bill for Professional Landscape Architects in New Hampshire. TFMoran Project NH Sportsdome Featured in the Union Leader

A recent project of TFMoran, the NH Sportsdome, was featured on the front page of the Union Leader on January 11, 2021. Located in Hooksett, the dome was inflated on January 9th and covers an artificial turf field that is available for any field sports. The facility is meant to be close in quality to a professional field, giving local sports teams, college students, children and young adults the experience of a high quality field. The facility is set to open in February.  Check out the full article here.
