TFMoran provided structural design for a new 14,000 square foot car wash located at 600 Yarmouth Road in Hyannis, MA. The building features a gable roof with many dormers, curved canopies, and a radiused entry roof. The space inside the building includes 8 detailing bays, a tunnel wash, an office, and waiting areas. The building is of a wood and concrete hybrid construction with exterior walls constructed of an insulated polymer-based stay in place concrete form system and roof framing comprised of metal plate connected prefabricated wood trusses and conventional lumber framing. The polymer formed concrete wall system is ideally suited for this use due to its durability in a car wash environment and the ability to use the product as a finished surface.
TFMoran worked with client Arlen Company and Bruce Ronayne Hamilton Architecture, both of New Ipswich, NH. Construction is now complete, and the Auto Salon opened the Fall of 2021.
