TFMoran participates in the STEM special section of New Hampshire Sunday News

TFMoran proudly supports the New Hampshire Union Leader’s efforts of publishing a special section on STEM in the New Hampshire Sunday News state edition on September 27, 2020. STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) plays a crucial role for the future of New Hampshire’s industries. New Hampshire corporations and schools are investing in programs and helping students prepare for careers in the STEM fields. Thank you to New Hampshire’s Union Leader for creating more awareness to Granite State offerings in education, scholarships and programs that are available to our young students interested in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.  Throughout the years, TFMoran has mentored many civil, structural and environmental engineering students through internships, as well as volunteering to judge STEM competitions, and participating in career fairs.

TFMoran Sponsors The Palace Theatre “Forever Emma” Golf Classic

TFMoran was a proud sponsor of the Palace Theatre “Forever Emma” Golf Classic to benefit the Forever Emma Scholarship Fund. The scholarship fund was created in memory of Bedford, NH resident Emma Bechert, a fourteen-year-old girl with a passion for theater who called the Palace Theatre her second home. Emma died in 2016 following a lengthy battle with cancer. The scholarship is used to help other children become involved in the arts.

The tournament was held on a beautiful day at the Passaconaway Country Club in Litchfield, NH. The tournament included a shotgun start with a scramble format, 19th hole reception, barbecue lunch, awards, and a raffle. TFMoran’s Dan Blais was out on the course with his teammates hoping to place in the top 3. Though, they didn’t quite make it, Dan and his friends had a great time while raising money for children’s theater.

Congratulations to the Top 3!

1st Place:  Empire Sheet Metal    Score: 57
2nd Place: EVR Advertising    Score: 61
3rd Place:  Team Sylvio    Score: 62

Thank you to the Palace Theatre for supporting children’s theatre and the arts, and putting on a great event!

TFMoran sponsors The Jenny Fund’s 2nd Annual Golf Tournament

On August 21, 2020 TFMoran sponsored The Jenny Fund’s 2nd Annual Golf Tournament at Passaconaway Country Club in Litchfield, NH. $45,000 was raised for cancer research from this year’s most successful event, yet. The tournament helps support the Translational Brain Tumor Immunology Laboratory at Mass General Hospital (MSG) whose research has advanced treatment for patients with cancerous brain tumors. Last year, The Jenny Fund events raised $70,000 for MGH cancer research, double that of what they raised in 2018!

The Jenny Fund was created in memory of Jennifer Gureckis, a 28-year-old New Hampshire resident who lost her years long battle with recurring brain cancer in 2017. After her diagnosis, she completed her Bachelor’s in Biology at Saint Anselm College, and went on to work towards her RN- all while seeking out clinical trials for her treatment in the hopes that she could help contribute towards finding a cure.
