Scott Olsen Participates in the 37th Annual Prouty Bike Race

On Saturday, July 14th TFMoran Project Engineer Scott Olsen participated in cycling 100 miles in an event called the Prouty, which is a fundraiser for the Norris Cotton Cancer Center at Dartmouth Hitchcock hospital. Scott has been involved with cycling fundraisers for cancer research since he was a little kid, volunteering at the finish line of the Pan Mass Challenge (supporting the Jimmy Fund), however he began participating in the Prouty when his father was a cancer patient at Dartmouth Hitchcock.  The team Scott rides with is the Beam Team, organized by his father’s employer, Bensonwood, of Walpole, NH.  Fortunately, Scott’s father was able to make cancer a part of his past and it is their hope that all others who encounter the disease will be able to do the same, largely in part to charitable events such as the Prouty.

The total amount of money raised for the 2018 Prouty race was $2,711,152.34, all which will aid research and cancer patient support at the clinic!  Way to go Scott on raising $382 for such a great cause!
