Julia Bowman has joined TFMoran, Inc. as a Stormwater Engineering Intern for Summer 2022. Ms. Bowman is currently studying Environmental Engineering at the University of New Hampshire. Bowman has previous work experience as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at UNH, creating control charts for southern New Hampshire towns to monitor chemicals in drinking water.
Benjamin Hodsdon has returned to TFMoran’s Civil Engineering Department as an intern for the summer of 2022. Mr. Hodsdon joined us last summer as part of our internship program, and we’re happy to have him back! He is working in both the Bedford office and the Portsmouth office. Ben is in the Honors Program at the University of New Hampshire, working towards his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, Class of 2023.
TFMoran has joined Plan NH, an organization dedicated to creating vibrant communities across the state of New Hampshire. Members include planners, builders, designers, or anyone who cares for the built environment and community design and their impact on towns and neighborhoods.
Each year, Plan NH holds its annual Merit Award Program to honor exemplary built environment projects that have a positive impact on the community. TFMoran has been honored to be a part of the winning project team for the Bank of NH Stage, which received a 2020 Merit Award of Excellence.
The Structural Engineers of New Hampshire (SENH) recently held their 2022 Excellence In Structural Engineering Awards event on May 18th!
Entries were judged on creativity, complexity, innovation, ingenuity, and suitability of the structural design for each of three categories; Building Structures, Bridge & Transportation Structures, and Special Structures.
TFMoran was honored to receive the award in the Building Structures category for the Nashawtuc Country Club renovation and addition in Concord, MA.

Nashawtuc Country Club located in Concord, MA is the site of complete renovation and addition to an existing country club community building totaling 40,000 square feet. The addition includes a new restaurant, recreation, and function spaces, including a grand ballroom with architecturally exposed steel trusses. Renovations included repairs, reconfiguration of column locations, support of new mechanical equipment, and a complete lateral load resisting systems upgrade. The existing building was comprised of a variety of framing systems and materials while the new additions were comprised of a hybrid graming system of wood and steel framing.
Jim Robinson has joined TFMoran, Inc. as a Civil Project Manager in the Bedford office. Mr. Robinson joins TFMoran with over 26 years of experience, most recently in Civil Site design and Stormwater Design for residential subdivisions and commercial site development. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Columbia University School of Engineering & Applied Science. Jim is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of New Hampshire and a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).
TFMoran is celebrating World Landscape Architecture Month (WLAM)! This Internationally recognized event highlights the work of landscape architects and celebrates the design of public and private spaces. Established by the American Society of Landscape Architecture, WLAM aims to demonstrate how landscape architecture affects our daily lives and is celebrated every April to coincide with Earth Day.

Robert Hoover, PLA, ASLA: Rob is a Professional Landscape Architect licensed in the states of NH, MA, ME, CT, NY, RI, and PA. He attended Harvard University Graduate School of Design, with a Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture with Distinction. Rob earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Design from the University of Massachusetts.
Matthew Routhier, PLA: Matt is a Professional Landscape Architect licensed in the states of NH and ME. He attended the University of Massachusetts, Amherst where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture.
Sophie Haddock: Sophie is an Assistant Land Planner in our Bedford office. Sophie attended the University of Rhode Island, and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture, with a minor in Community Planning.
Robin Carter has joined TFMoran, Inc. as an Accounting Assistant in the Bedford office. Ms. Carter has extensive experience in office management duties and customer service. Her new position involves processing payroll, client invoicing / accounts payable, as well as some general ledger entries and reconciliations.
After 30 years with TFMoran, Hans Mertsch is retiring from our Survey Department. Hans joined the firm in February 1992 and has been an integral part of our company for the past three decades! Hans’s knowledge and skill will be greatly missed, but we wish him the very best in retirement! We all owe Hans immense gratitude for his service and contribution in helping make TFMoran one of the most respected firms in Northern New England.

Michael Dahlberg, LLS, RPLS, PLS Manages TFMoran’s Bedford Office Survey Department and serves as an Assistant Vice President. He has nearly 40 years of survey experience and is licensed in the states of New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, and Maine. Mr. Dahlberg’s experience includes ALTA Surveys, Utility/Roadway Route Surveys, As-Built Surveys, Boundary Surveys, and Conservation Easements.
Brenda Kolbow, LLS, PLS Manages TFMoran’s Seacoast Division Survey Department. She has nearly 20 years of survey experience and is licensed in the states of New Hampshire, Maine, and North Carolina. Ms. Kolbow has a degree in Surveying Technology from Piedmont Community College. She is responsible for the management and coordination of survey projects with staff, clients, contractors, and regulatory officials from proposal through the completion of construction.
Gwynette Bayacal has joined TFMoran, Inc. as an Administrative Assistant in the Portsmouth office. Ms. Bayacal brings over 25 years of extensive experience as an Administrative Assistant and Client Liaison. Her new position involves providing backup support for reception, and administrative support for our project managers and office manager.
